The new single from The Velvet Hands is a huge summer anthem designed for bright festival stages. ‘I Wanna Be There’ “is about everybody around you seemingly knowing exactly what they’re doing with their lives, whilst you’re still trying to shake off last night’s hangover and wondering when your life is going to properly start,” they explain. “It’s about looking around and realising that you’ve come much further than you think and that maybe everyone else feels the same.” Without losing their knack for their massive choruses and magnetic guitar hooks, The Velvet Hands have managed to craft something that looks at both optimism and agitation in its lyrics.
